Set within the lovely countryside of the Northern Fells, Woodlands nestles peacefully at the edge of Ireby, a very traditional Cumbrian farming village, unspoilt and rather charming. Our situation is perfect to enjoy the wonder of the Lakes, explore Roman Britain, Hadrians wall and the Scottish Borders. All of this with little traffic - perfection.
Woodlands itself is a former Victorian Vicarage now running as a successful hotel with 8 bedrooms and a delightful 2 bedroomed self catering cottage. The Hotel has been very carefully refurbished in the last three years to reflect its heritage and has a warm and happy atmosphere, which is felt by all the guests staying here. Within its delightful bar and snug, comfortable lounge and atmospheric dining room our guests can relax and enjoy a very special stay made even more so by Helen's delicious and imaginative cooking.
