The Britannia Inn

A 400 year old Lakeland Inn with oak beams, real fires and small, cosy rooms. Famed for our real ales and extensive menu of freshly cooked dishes, using local produce as much as possible.Situated in the middle of picturesque Elterwater village, with the magnificent Langdale Pikes as a backdrop, there are walks of every variety in all directions from the front door.

Comfortable twin and double rooms are available with en-suite facilities. Each room has tea and coffee facilities, colour television, telephone and hairdryer. All are serviced daily with fresh towels provided.

All bedrooms are non smoking for the comfort and safety of other guests.

There is a lounge and car park solely for residents use.

Well behaved pets are also welcome to stay by prior arrangement.

Guests are entitled to one pass per person per stay for the leisure facilities of the world renowned Langdale Estate Country Club adjacent to the Britannia, providing a health and beauty salon, exercise studio, 20m luxury pool, sanarium, spa and squash courts.
