Kylesku Lodges

Self catering A-frame lodges in the rugged west highlands overlooking sealoch and mountains. Great for birdwatching, walks, boat trips and touring.

Kylesku is situated on the remote and beautiful West Highland coastal route. It lies at the junction of three lochs: Loch A'Chairn Bhain, Loch Glendhu, Loch Glencoul. This is an area of rugged mountain scenery interspersed with glens and sweeping moorland studded with small lochs and lochans. The coastline is of sea lochs and rocky headlands which shelter many secluded sandy beaches.

There is rich bird and animal life, both grey and common seal can be seen and herds of red deer come down from the hills to graze in the evenings.

Boat tours can be taken to the head of Loch Glencoul to see Eas-Coul-Aulin, which at 650 feet is the highest waterfall in Britain. Breeding seal colonies are visited on route. On certain days trips can be taken to Kerrachar Gardens, a new loch-side garden which is only accessible by boat.

The nature reserve of Handa is nearby and can be reached by boat from the pier at Tarbet. Handa is renowned for its spectacular colonies of breeding seabirds.
